Training will take place in a Purpose built Training Facility in conditions resembling as closely as possible to those found on Site. However, to ensure that the Scaffolding Training can take place all year round, a covered area is available to allow a complete range of Scaffolds to be erected, with a few height restrictions.


The Training provided by the Training Institute is according to S.A.B.S 085 2000 Edition3, The Design, Erection, Use and Inspection of Access Scaffolding , which states that Operatives must reach prescribed levels of Training and experience in Scaffolding of a given kind before they can work without Supervision.


All Operatives shall receive a Certificate to show the levels of training they have achieved.Scaffolding,flagman, working at heights training.

  • The tiling of walls and floors is a recognised trade in the construction industry using tiles made from ceramics and materials including stone, terracotta and marble all of which come in a variety of shapes, sizes, textures and colours and may be laid in intricate, decorative patterns. Tiling can be applied to both exterior and interior walls, as well as other surfaces such as floors and swimming pools. Tiling often includes maintenance and restoration work where most surfaces need to be repaired. This may involve removing existing floor or wall coverings and levelling floors. You will learn, in a practical workshop environment from industry experts. All modules are done in practice in a fully equipped workshop allowing you to immediate use your practical skills rather than a theoretical environment.


    Bricklaying



    Whether you need an indoor or outdoor structure built, repaired or decorated, a bricklayer can do the job for you. Using masonry materials such as bricks, tiles, concrete, mortar, cement or granite blocks, and bricklayers can build a house, wall, chimney, arch or fireplace. Working plans are then drawn up from sketches, or architectural drafts will be used. You will learn, in a practical workshop environment from industry experts. All modules are done in practice in a fully equipped workshop allowing you to immediate use your practical skills rather than a theoretical environment. 

    Painting



    Our college offers a variety of courses aimed at equipping the applicator with the necessary knowledge and skills of the application of the paint products.  Courses offered to contractors, supervisors, building maintenance managers, etc, are focused on increasing their general paint knowledge and to equip them with the skill of problem-solving paint problems. The painting course provides candidates with the basic knowledge regarding surface preparation and paint application to ensure engineering materials are suitably protected from environmental decay and/or corrosion, through the use of protective coatings.

    Plastering

    Plastering comprises the artistic and functional covering and finishing of the interior and exterior walls of building according to specifications and design. You will learn, in a practical workshop environment from industry experts. All modules are done in practice in a fully equipped workshop allowing you to immediate use your practical skills rather than a theoretical environment.
