Tiling

The tiling of walls and floors is a recognized trade in the construction industry using tiles made from ceramics and materials including stone, terracotta and marble all of which come in a variety of shapes, sizes, textures and colors and may be laid in intricate, decorative patterns. Tiling can be applied to both exterior and interior walls, as well as other surfaces such as floors and swimming pools. Tiling often includes maintenance and restoration work where most surfaces need to be repaired. This may involve removing existing floor or wall coverings and leveling floors.
